Québec Net Positif and CCG launch “Low carbon SME”

The "Low Carbon SME" project is launched!

Québec Net Positif and CCG have joined forces to launch “PME sobre en carbone”, an initiative that offers five training workshops designed for Quebec SMEs to strengthen their skills on low-carbon transition issues by becoming better informed about prospective scenarios, transition trajectories and the rapid evolution of sustainable finance. Equipped with this new knowledge, entrepreneurs and managers will be able to engage in a constructive dialogue with their stakeholders and better target their efforts to access available resources for the implementation of profitable and sustainable climate actions. To complement this, three roundtables will be held during the fall of 2021 and a conference in February 2022.

In addition, for the first time in Canada, companies that have already established an initial carbon footprint measurement will be able to participate in the ACT – Assessing low Carbon Transition® assessment and continuous improvement process, part of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Solutions Agenda. ACT assesses an organization’s readiness to transition to a low-carbon economy using a methodology based on forward-looking, sector-specific transition trajectories. The adaptation of ACT for the benefit of Quebec SMEs is being carried out in collaboration with ADEME and CDP, who are supporting its international deployment.
