Founded in 2016 under the name Carbon Consult Group, the company changed its name to CCG in 2020. Since our inception, we have been assisting businesses and communities to take action in the fight against climate change.
Based in Montreal, our experts help organizations measure and reduce their GHG emissions and implement a climate change adaptation plan.

Our team

We are a team of experts passionate for tackling the climate crisis. Under the guidance of three experienced partners, CCG’s consultants form a dynamic team with multidisciplinary skills. Accompanied by an expert top-level advisory committee, we have surrounded ourselves with external partners who bring a wide range of expertise.

Pascal Geneviève

co-founder and general director

Pascal has been working for more than 10 years on the carbon footprint of organizations.
After a career in aeronautics, where he held numerous responsibilities in areas such as engineering, testing, simulations and after-sales service, Pascal specialized in the environmental footprint of products. Convinced that climate change is the challenge of our time, he co-founded CCG in 2016 to support public and private organizations in the transition to a low-carbon economy. His passion for the fight against climate change leads him to share his knowledge at conferences and training sessions on both mitigation and adaptation.
Pascal holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Urbana Champaign, Illinois, and an engineering degree from the École des Mines, in France.

Jean Paquin

co-founder and ceo

Jean has over 25 years of experience in developing and managing renewable energy projects worldwide. After several entrepreneurial experiences in Spain, he became Director of Business Development for one of the world’s leading wind energy consultants. Subsequently, he became director of the hydroelectric generation department and senior director of business development for one of the largest independent power generators in Canada. Jean co-founded CCG in 2016 to bring his deep expertise to all types of organizations. An outstanding communicator, he is regularly solicited as a speaker. Jean holds an eMBA from the John Molson School of Business and a degree in Civil Engineering (B.Sc.) from Concordia University. Jean is a member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ #107308).

Alexandru Iordan

senior director

Alexandru is an expert in business risk management related to climate change. Trained as a chemist, Alexandru has been responsible, among other things, for the integration of complex regulations into business processes and product compliance. Internationally, he has been involved in the development of standards for environmental management in the supply chain. He was also involved in the design of CORSIA, the first international system for offsetting CO2 emissions for aviation. As part of the management team, Alexandru leads CCG’s services for the financial sector. He is also involved in various missions aimed at measuring and valuing emission reductions in the industrial manufacturing, green technologies, transport and civil aviation sectors. Alexandru holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s degree from the University of Strasbourg, in France.

Ernesto Rodriguez-Sanchez

Consultant

Ernesto has a solid experience in conformity assessment and management systems certification. For more than 8 years, he was a consultant in structured continuous improvement in a certification body and then in charge of supporting several companies in strategic management and improvement of their performance and corporate sustainability in Latin America. In recent years, he has been interested in the challenges of resilient and sustainable development in an uncertain world where major threats are constantly evolving. Ernesto holds a Master of Engineering in Organizational Resilience from Polytechnique Montréal and is an OIQ’s candidate for the engineering profession. Having a major interest in urban resilience, climate change adaptation, and business continuity, he joined the CCG team in 2020 as a consultant in adaptation and resilience

Henri Gilmant

Consultant

Henri combines conviction and knowledge to reduce the effects of climate change. He had several years of experience in the industry in France before joining CCG as a consultant. In the past, Henri has led bicycle and accessory development projects, built sustainable development strategies and led eco-design projects. Aware of the current and future challenges of our climate and our society, he wants to spend all of his time limiting climate change and preparing for future challenges. Henri graduated in Engineering at the Institut Catholique des Arts et Métiers (ICAM) in France. 

Sarah Lussier

Sarah graduated as an Industrial Engineer from Polytechnique Montréal. She majored in Sustainable Development and wishes to have a positive impact on society. She has been involved for three years in a committee promoting women leadership in the engineering sector. She takes seriously her new role at CCG and is willing to use her competencies to fight against climate change and increase organization resilience. 

Liselot van Doezelaar

Liselot is dedicated to creating a more sustainable world and contributing to the fight against climate change. She graduated with a Master degree in Economics from Tilburg University in the Netherlands, majoring in Sustainable Development. Throughout her work experience, she has actively contributed her skills and knowledge towards building a greener planet. As an environmental auditor in Belgium, she controlled companies’ conformity regarding their electronic appliances’ reporting. Her diverse background allows her to approach challenges from multiple perspectives, finding innovative solutions that align with environmental and social objectives. Liselot combines her expertise to guide businesses and organizations toward low-carbon practices.

Sylvianne Guimond

Accounting and sustainable finance

Sylvianne specializes in accounting, budget management and results analysis for businesses. She has worked in a major Canadian bank, in a college institution and is also in private practice. Her mission is to demonstrate that sustainable development can be profitable for a company. Her passion for communicating her knowledge and her proactive approach allow her to create a positive relationship with her contacts. Supported by a solid foundation in accounting, she prioritizes sustainable and innovative solutions in her approach. She joined the team in order to create synergy in the services offered. Sylvianne is a graduate in accounting sciences from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) and holds the title of professional chartered accountant CPA, CMA.

Lukas Brochard​

Lukas worked as a sustainability consultant for international organizations before moving to the private sector where he helped companies improve their environmental and social performance. He now assesses the environmental performance of companies for investors.

Marc Poulin

Marc was an executive for more than 10 years in an international renewable energy consulting engineering firm. He is now dedicated to setting up a start-up dedicated to offering online solutions for sleep disorders (Haleo). He is also a mentor for several start-up entrepreneurs and a member of the SAESEM Board of Directors.

External Consultant

François Lafortune

François has been working in the field of GHGs and climate change for more than a decade. Doctor in Analytical Chemistry, he has been teaching GHG and climate change courses for the Master’s program in Environment at the University of Sherbrooke since 2012. He has acted as a consultant in Morocco and Côte d’Ivoire, where he has given workshops on climate change, and is a regular speaker at symposiums and conferences. Francois’ expertise covers the quantification of GHG emissions for organizations or projects. In particular, he has  conducted GHG emission inventories and GHG emission reduction plans for a dozen Quebec municipalities. He is regularly called upon to verify emissions declarations of public and private organizations. François works with CCG in 2018 as a senior climate change expert.
