Novago cooperative<\/a> approached us with the aim of taking part in climate action.<\/b> This organization from the agricultural sector wanted to know the best practices to implement in order to start a transition process. Our mitigation consultants, Henri Gilmant, Charlotte Hulin and Sarah Lussier<\/a> accompanied them in this process through our new strategic climate action diagnosis service.<\/p>\n

With this service, any organization, regardless of its size or activity sector, can quickly obtain an assessment of its maturity<\/b> with regard to the transition as well as a set of strategic actions to implement in order to move towards a low-carbon model. Developed in partnership with ADEME<\/a> as part of the ACT – Assessing Low Carbon Transition\u00ae<\/a> initiative, the diagnosis an accessible and affordable tool for transformation<\/b>. Any company wishing to achieve a solid, robust transition that is compatible with the major international standards <\/b>(SBTi<\/a>, CDP<\/a>, TCFD<\/a>) would benefit from following this approach.<\/p>\n

The cooperative’s management team, represented by Myra Tremblay<\/a><\/b>, Senior CSR Advisor, and Dany C\u00f4t\u00e9<\/a>,<\/b> General Manager, were able to discover that the cooperative was already partly engaged in its transition process, notably through a willingness to train its teams on climate change<\/b>, the integration of environmental issues into corporate governance<\/b>, as well as through an ongoing process of analysis of its GHG emissions<\/b>. The diagnosis identified major areas of work, such as the creation and implementation of a GHG reduction plan<\/b>, the training o<\/b>f its agronomists on climate projections<\/b> and a review of its catalog<\/b> in order to offer products that emit less GHG.<\/p>\n
